Origination

CPF has an international network of project developers, many with projects at pre-investment stage or that are candidates for expansion or replication. We often actively seek finance for projects on behalf of developers, but we also assist investors in identifying projects that meet their investment criteria.

Due Diligence

Understanding projects.

CPF cannot replace your due diligence process, but we can add value and assist in delivering them. We have engaged internationally in the development of projects, and in the process have been involved in structuring projects against due diligence criteria and progressing projects through due diligence. We have direct implementation experience that enables us to identify and assess project risk for projects at all stages of development, initiation and operation.

Development

Capacity building for project developers.

CPF works on behalf of investors to support the development and delivery of candidate projects, either working directly or seconded to developers to assist in structuring, implementation and management. We operate a flexible project development process that enables us to engage with investors and developers on any level that is required, from provision of specific services to an overall advisory role.

Where specialist skills are required that lie outside of our core team we maintain a network of proven consultants in a broad range of technologies and sectors with experience operating internationally.

Asset Management

Realising returns from complex investments requires strong governance and robust management over the entire project lifetime. CPF provide project management and monitoring services to investors on individual projects or through PMO structures on project portfolios.

We aim to provide visibility over management and key operational parameters of project companies through real time monitoring and reporting systems, in-country presence and direct asset tracking using appropriate technologies. We can assist project companies in operating these systems through training and capacity building and where necessary the provision of direct project management and audit services.

Technology

Understanding of currently available technologies, as well as timelines for future development, is crucial to ensure that the appropriate technology is adopted by a project within a given timescale.

CPF maintains core expertise in the commercial implementation of renewable technologies and a network of technical expertise to support the appropriate selection and implementation of technologies within a wider portfolio of projects. We can assist in understanding all aspects of candidate technologies including implementation risk, lifecycle analysis, supplier credit risk, licensing, warranty and obsolescence.

Carbon Asset Development

CPF provide value added revenue streams to projects through Carbon Asset Development, analysing validation routes and structured credit/derivative finance options to maximise carbon credit value as an integral component of project revenue. We manage every aspect of carbon credit delivery from validation and verification to route-to-market.
