The simplest approach is the best approach...
We have seen projects stumble under the layers of complexity added by successive phases of investment, development and consultancy advice.
We view our role as not only providing the expertise that is required to make a project successful, but also doing so in a way that provides greater clarity, not more layers of complexity.
Understand the project
Our first objective is to understand a project. By this we mean where it has come from, what stage it is at right now, and where it is going. This seems simplistic, but we believe that from a concise answer to the simple question of why a project exists follows answers to every subsequent question required to successfully implement it
The why needs to be at the centre of the project, the approach taken and every decision that is made.
Understand the requirement
We have the knowledge and experience to help you deliver specific requirements or to work more broadly to assist in the delivery of a project as a whole. Common to our approach, however we work with you, is the formation of a well-defined requirement. We want you to get the input you require and we need to make sure we deliver for you; a requirement is central to this.
We will track your requirements as we proceed and will be responsive if these requirements evolve. We want to make sure we are pointing in the right direction and we want to help you align all of the components required to make the project successful.
Access the right skills
Our team provide all of the skills necessary to develop a project from concept to initiation, and to provide operational management and oversight after this. We have experience in a broad range of industries and sectors and have delivered projects internationally.
Where necessary we draw on an international network of specialist consultants to compliment in-house teams, providing technical support for design, due diligence, initiation and operation of projects that require specific skill sets. We aim to balance the benefit of improved project design, skills transfer and increased levels of confidence provided to project developers and funders with the cost associated with specialists.
Model, structure and test
We take an empirical approach to structuring projects which centres on identifying and quantifying variables, capturing functional structures and modelling these exhaustively to discover where a project succeeds and where it fails. Most importantly we accept that what this achieves is a greater understanding of a project, it does not proof a project against unseen risks and should not provide a false sense of security.
The result of an empirical approach to development is a project design that can be easily adjusted to reflect different opportunities and requirements and can be easily stress tested to understand key sensitivities and their impacts.
Project delivery
We provide support for the initiation of projects, ranging from planning and design to project management and monitoring. We can assist with technical expertise throughout planning and implementation with both in-house skills and an international network of specialist consultants.
For Project Developers
For Investors
We work on behalf of investors either directly, or seconded to project developers, to help bring projects to investment and manage projects throughout implementation and operation.
Our promise...
We are interested in the successful implementation of projects. We are not interested in adding complexity or delivering unnecessary work. If we don’t think we can help you we will tell you so, and explain why.
